Full line-up of the first edition of the free music festival PrinsjesNach announced

The Hague – This year The Hague honors its status as a royal city with PrinsjesNach, a new music festival on the eve of Prinsjesdag. On September 18, the third Monday in September, free intimate concerts will take place at numerous locations in the center of The Hague with a wide range of musicians from The Hague.

For visitors attending Prinsjesdag, this is a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant music culture of the royal city a day before the splendor of the royal tour. The concerts will take place at fifteen different bars, restaurants and outdoor locations in the Hofkwartier, Noordeinde and on the Grote Markt. PrinsjesNach thus connects the vibrant musical heritage of The Hague with its regal allure.

Grand opening

The full line-up of the first edition of PrinsjesNach was announced this weekend. About twenty bands will offer a vibrant mix of music styles, including Americana, indie pop, jazz and world music. The evening will be festively opened with a performance by jazz trumpeter Michael Varekamp from The Hague in front of the facade of Palmette restaurant on de Plaats. Varekamp, ​​who plays all over the world, will give an exciting performance especially for the occasion in his home city of The Hague together with his 'PrinsjesNach Orchestra'.

Highlights

Furthermore, singer-songwriter TOINE, finalist of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, will play an intimate set twice in Irish pub O'Casey's on the Noordeinde. The Hague Night Mayor Pat Smith, who is already making a name for himself as frontman of Splendid, will give a solo show for the Waalse Kerk. The compelling music of chansonnière Tess Merlot will also be heard here, who will give an indoor performance earlier in the evening in café 't Hoekpandje in the Oude Molstraat.
