The New Farm

Televisiestraat 2-4 | 2525 KD The Hague | View on map

The New Farm in The Hague, originally the Philips Factory designed by Dirk Roosenburg, now focuses on sustainability, circularity, and social employment, housing various innovative companies and featuring a restored glass facade with integrated solar cells.

Services

In the mid-20th century, The Hague hosted the Philips Factory, a telecommunications center designed by architect Dirk Roosenburg and operational since 1958. The factory later became a business complex and gained national attention in 2016 when Urban Farmers set up a rooftop greenhouse with vertical farming and fish cultivation on the 6th floor. Unfortunately, Urban Farmers went bankrupt in 2018.

The current situation? There will again be a real glass facade as originally designed and with the special feature of solar cells in the glass.

At The New Farm everything revolves around sustainability, circularity and social employment. Companies such as ididyespers FoodRoast FactoryDe Kookfabriek, Sox2Sox and many more companies from The Hague have moved here.

The New Farm offers fertile ground for The Hague's manufacturing industry with circularity, innovation and social entrepreneurship as central themes.
