This weekend: the last chance to see BlowUp Jubilee during Kunstsnacks.
The Hague – Just a few more days and BlowUp Jubilee, the anniversary edition of the popular inflatable art exhibition in The Hague’s Museum Quarter, will come to an end. Visitors who have not yet seen the monumental artworks – or who would like to experience them one more time – can combine their visit this Sunday, June 21, with Kunstsnacks, an exploratory day along thirteen cultural hotspots in the heart of The Hague.
Since its opening on May 22, BlowUp Jubilee has attracted thousands of visitors to the Museum Quarter, surprising and inspiring them. Spread across the area are twenty monumental inflatable artworks by national and international designers, including Marcel Wanders, Studio Job, Raw Color, Kiki & Joost, and Steve Messam. With this anniversary edition, BlowUp Art The Hague celebrates its fifth anniversary.
Colorful backdrop
On Sunday, June 21, the exhibition will serve as the backdrop for Kunstsnacks. Between 12:00 and 17:00, visitors can explore thirteen cultural institutions in the Museum Quarter with a single ticket. The Kunstsnacks program consists of short, accessible activities of up to half an hour, allowing visitors to create their own ideal cultural route.
The program includes stand-up comedy performances at Theater Pepijn and the Royal Theatre, workshops at the Mauritshuis and West Den Haag, short guided tours, a mini escape game at the Gevangenpoort, culinary “snacks” inspired by books from the collection of the House of the Book, an exhibition featuring works by former students of the KABK (Royal Academy of Art), and musical performances at unique locations throughout the area.
Double cultural experience
While visitors move from one cultural venue to another, the massive inflatable artworks of BlowUp Jubilee form a striking red thread throughout the area. This makes June 21 a unique opportunity to experience two cultural events in one visit.
BlowUp Jubilee can still be visited daily free of charge until Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the Museum Quarter of The Hague. Tickets are required for Kunstsnacks. Tickets cost €20 (€15 for students) and are available via museumkwartier-denhaag.nl.
