Applications open for ‘Haagse Parel’ 2025

The applications for the Haagse Parel 2025 are open. Companies from The Hague that have made an exceptional contribution to The Hague over the past year as well as those focusing on circular business activities have until Monday 31 March to be nominated for this Hague entrepreneurial award. 

Haagse Parel 
The municipality of The Hague is proud of its entrepreneurs. That is why for several years now, the Hague Pearl has been awarded: an award for companies that make a special contribution to the Hague economy, showing commitment and initiative for the city. This year, too, there are two categories: Exceptional Contribution and Impactful Circular Enterprise. 

Exceptional contribution
For companies that contribute to the Hague economy in terms of profiling the city, employment, sustainability, community involvement or innovation. 

Impactful circular enterprise
Refers to companies that focus on maximum reusability and minimum value destruction of raw materials. This looks at companies that focus on as many circular resources as possible that maximise impact. 

Suggest a company
After last year's success, entrepreneurs and residents of The Hague can also nominate companies for a Haagse Parel this year. Via the website www.haagseparel.nl you can submit yourself or a business that should not be missing among this year's nominees.

The expert jury and audience votes
This year's expert jury consists of: Kaushilya Budhu Lall on behalf of the Economic Board The Hague, Edith Groenewegen on behalf of MKB The Hague, Robert Medenblik on behalf of VNO-NCW region The Hague, Juriën Kester (winner The Hague Pearl 2024 category Exceptional Contribution) and Rolien Wiersinga on behalf of Circular Green (winner The Hague Pearl 2024 category Impactful Circular Enterprise). The jury report counts 60% in the final result. The remaining 40% will be supplemented by audience votes.
 
From all entries, the professional jury will select three nominees per category. They will receive media attention on Den Haag FM, a promotional video and a LinkedIn course. The eventual winners will receive the Hague Pearl Award, a €5,000 growth budget, a one-year membership with VNO-NCW Region The Hague and MKB The Hague, and free tickets to the Mauritshuis. The award will be presented on Friday 13 June during The Hague Inspires!, the entrepreneurial networking event with 750 entrepreneurs from The Hague.

Applications can be made from 3 March to 31 March (10am) via www.haagseparel.nl. The nominees will be announced on Tuesday 22 April.
