15 concrete measures for prosperity in The Hague
10 July 2025
The Hague-based organisations present advisory document to local policymakers
In the run-up to the 2026 municipal elections, The Hague & Partners, together with 12 The Hague-based organisations, has released an advisory document containing tangible measures to enhance broad prosperity in the city.
As the city’s marketing and acquisition agency focused on residents, visitors, conference organisers, and international businesses and institutions, The Hague & Partners (TH&P) observes important trends and opportunities that could be leveraged. In collaboration with local area foundations such as Binnenstadsmanagement Den Haag, Buitengewoon Scheveningen, and Beach Resort Kijkduin, TH&P has brainstormed practical actions to strengthen the visitor economy. Input was also gathered from our partners with specific expertise in the fields of conferences, international businesses and institutions.
Key proposals include:
🔹 Renovation and expansion of the World Forum The Hague
🔹 More ‘reasons to visit’: icons and events
🔹 Improved accessibility: direct international train service and enhanced public transport to Scheveningen and Kijkduin
The document has been endorsed by Economic Board The Hague, VNO-NCW Den Haag, MKB Den Haag, KHN (The Hague chapter), the 3/4/5-star Hotel Covenant, The Hague Venues, and Partners in Tourism.
