First express bus from The Hague to Keukenhof has departed
The Hague – With the opening of the tulip season, the express bus connection between The Hague Central Station and Keukenhof officially launched this week. The direct service follows a successful pilot in 2025 and responds to the growing demand for fast and comfortable transport options from The Hague to the flower park.
The bus, an initiative by HopOn HopOff Holland in cooperation with Keukenhof, runs directly from The Hague Central Station to the entrance of Keukenhof in Lisse. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes, making it an efficient alternative to both driving and regular public transport.
The bus operates several times a day during the Keukenhof season, from March 19 through May 10. It aligns with the park’s international visitor flow, as more and more tourists are choosing to stay in The Hague. The connection contributes to a better distribution of tourism across the Randstad and helps reduce car traffic դեպի the Bollenstreek region.
With this new service, it is easier for both (inter)national visitors and residents of The Hague to visit Keukenhof, which attracted 1.4 million visitors from 100 countries last year to its world-famous blooming tulip fields and spring gardens.
Tickets are available from €42.50 per person, including entrance to Keukenhof and return transport. The shuttle departs twice a day, at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The meeting point is the The Hague Info Store, which will open 15 minutes earlier in the coming weeks to welcome morning passengers. For a 10% discount on ticket prices, visit denhaag.com.
