Security Delta (HSD)

Security Delta (HSD) is the Dutch security cluster. Over 300 companies, governmental organisations and knowledge institutions have been working together since 2013 to make a difference in securing our digitising society. They share their knowledge and collaborate on innovative security solutions, which can be scaled within The Netherlands and internationally. HSD 'thinks, dares and acts'. By providing access to knowledge, innovation, market, finance, and talent, HSD takes care of the preconditions for a successful security cluster.

HSD Campus

The HSD Campus, based in The Hague, is the national innovation centre for cybersecurity and serves as home to the Dutch security cluster. Companies, governments and knowledge institutions work together at the HSD Campus in The Hague to share knowledge and develop products and services that contribute to a safer world. Events are also frequently organised on the HSD Campus for and by the community to bring the network together.

The campus provides a physical collaboration space with offices, flexible workplaces, IT labs, education and training facilities, and meeting rooms. This makes it the ideal place for public, private and knowledge companies and organisations to meet.

International Cooperation

As an international city, cybersecurity cooperation does not stop at the border. It is also carried out at the international level. The Hague works closely with its partners, including InnovationQuarter, to support Dutch cybersecurity companies to expand into foreign markets and help international companies establish themselves in the city. For instance, several trade missions are organised while The Hague also offers a soft landing programme for cybersecurity companies looking to grow in the European market. The soft landing programme includes coaching, access to capital, support in establishing partnerships and developing a promising business model as well as other practical issues.

Talent is an essential component for cybersecurity companies to thrive. Therefore, The Hague works together with knowledge institutions and companies to match supply and demand. There are various internationally recognised education institutes in the region that offer courses and graduation programmes in the field of cybersecurity. These include The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Leiden University and TU Delft. They also organise summer schools and student visits from abroad.
There are also several cybersecurity initiatives for specific target groups such as students, women and people with a migrant backgrounds.
